Digital print advertising signs has a huge range of applications Digital Print Technology has revolutionised the sign industry. A decade ago most vehicle signage was computer cut vinyl now digital print fills the role. Digital print is essentially one layer of cast vinyl / incorporating an infinite no of colours. Computer Cut Vinyl must be fitted in layers to achieve a multicolored sign and only in even colour no fades. The computer cut vinyl has a longer life although a digitally printed graphic lasts as long as is required for most people. Of course bitmaps, tiffs that is pictures can only be printed. Your Digital Print signage After developing your design and receiving your authorisation, the finished electronic file is printed to white cast vinyl stock. The freshly printed sign is then left to outgas (cure) for up to 48hrs and then laminated with a thin layer of clear protective film. The application of the vinyl is critical. There are 3 key steps in successfully applying a digital print to your vehicle. The cleaning of the vehicle surfaces to be applicated. Using the correct technique to stick the vinyl and stretch it into the recesses of the vehicle. Post heating of the material to ensure it loses any memory and keeps its new form on your vehicle. You may see vehicles with cracked sign material or the sign may be lifting in the recesses. This is a failure of one or all of the three previously mentioned fitting and preparation steps or the use of inferior materials.
