My name is John Heley, owner of car-signs.com.au a Sydney based business.

My first experience in sign work was installing large format graphics at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. I did a lot of work in the International Media Center at the time

After the Olympics the majority of the work was vehicle signage and mostly fitting computer cut vinyl (ccv).

A major Client was and still is Pirtek. In 2008 car-signs.com.au was asked to help Pirtek in an Australia wide project to remove the existing signs and replace them with a new digitally printed signs. The Pirtek fleet had a large and varied range of vehicles numbering around 250 which provided provided me with a wealth of experience and knowledge. I became very efficient at removing old ccv in places like Port Headland, Newman, Biloela, Emerald and Townsville where the vinyl had endured years of punishment from the searing heat as well as the general mining environment.

Signing the Pirtek fleet also included fitting digitally printed graphics to vans, utilities and trucks. The work had to be perfect first time round because of the cost of returning to Port Headland from Sydney

car-signs.com.au has been in the vehicle signage business since the mid eighties. In those days vehicle stripping was the rage and regular visits to car yards was the order of the day. Things moved along quickly to computer cut signage and then digital printing. Throughout that time frame we have built up a wealth of experience in the signage industry.

Much of our work can be done at your location however choice of location is influenced by the size of a sign or wrap and weather conditions or the requirement for skilled assistance. Large signs or wraps up to 5 meters in length of digital print for vehicle sides fall into this category. Where circumstances permit the work is done at your location otherwise we will bring the vehicle to our factory and return to you completed.
